Vehicle data sources

The U.S. directory spans model years 1984–2027. Vehicle identification uses documented vehicle data independently of the available parts listings. Coverage varies by model. Missing trim or engine details can be entered from your vehicle label and are identified as entered by you.

Engine options and their sources

Engine options come from U.S. Department of Energy and EPA test-vehicle records. The selector retains the reported displacement, cylinder count, fuel, electrification, and available turbocharger or supercharger information. Selecting an engine displays the original source vehicle labels and a link to its EPA record. Some EPA model families include multiple named variants, so use the source label to identify your vehicle.

Trim-to-engine links are shown only when documented by the source. Manufacturer specifications supply complete mappings for selected models, including the 2024 Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback and Ford F-150 Raptor. For other models, the engine list covers the model family and may include engines offered on different trims. Confirm your vehicle’s engine and review the part’s fitment details.

Open vehicle data has gaps, particularly for some heavy-duty vehicles and recently introduced model variants. A model being selectable does not establish parts availability. PartIndex matches the selected vehicle against the applications attached to individual parts.

Year, make, model, and trim

Supplemental named trims use observed vehicle records from the NHTSA 2022–2024 FARS releases with successful VIN decoding. Ambiguous lists of possible trim names are excluded. An observed trim confirms a source record for that year and model; coverage of all factory options requires additional manufacturer data.
